I have been programming since I was about twelve. I got my first taste of being able to create new things digitally after learning about hex editing new breeds into the game Petz. Many years later I would find myself tinkering with Quake 2 and player shards (emulators) with Ultima Online.

Today, I have experience with a wide range of languages/scripting languages from C/C++ and C# to PHP and Javascript. I have dabbled with modeling, texturing, as well as sound and video and thus have a fairly solid understanding of what my fellow game designers do. I have come full circle to the point where when I play games I deconstruct them and admire (hopefully!) how they are built - pondering how to do the same thing myself.
